Created drawings for and monitored 65 thousand dollar contract for the emergency replacement of seriously degraded hot water pipes for the base hospital. Coordinated response with Bioenvironmental Engineering to asbestos contamination found during the performance of the contract.

 

In charge of 2 million dollar contract to replace the hospital mechanical systems (electrical, oxygen, HVAC and water). Monitored test of newly installed systems including centralized oxygen and water line leak test, oxygen purity test and operating and delivery room base-line air quality tests.

 

United States Air Force, Tinker AFB, OK July 1983 to January 1985

Automated Graphics Systems Operator

Created base maps by digitizing existing maps and aerial photos using Intergraph Interactive Graphic Design System.

Added existing communication systems (Plant-In-Place) to finished base maps.

 

Combined contractor and in-house data to create complete systems drawings for the Space Shuttle Launch Complex number 6 (SLICK6) at Vandenberg AFB, California.

 

Created base drawings for Falcon AFS, Colorado in under 72 hours in accordance with a presidential priority work order allowing no more than 120 hours.

Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge – Engineering Section

Responsible for a 6 airman shop with the responsibility to provide engineering support (drafting, surveying, planning, SABER and construction management) to the 315th Airlift Wing (Reserve) and the 437th Airlift Wing.  The engineering section provided contingency support for forced bed down and deployment of the wing.  The engineering section maintained all base planning documents including base master plans, construction plans, real property inventories and contract surveillance.  In addition to office duties the engineering section also supported bases worldwide in the accomplishment of their mission.

 

Barksdale AFB, LA – Conducted topographic surveys to establish horizontal control for a future storm water management contract.

 

Westover, ARB, MA – Conducted base boundary surveys to re-establish the historic base perimeter original established circa 1939.  Created documents for the transfer to private ownership of encroaching property.

 

Shaw SFB, SC – Established horizontal and vertical control and replaced disturbed and destroyed Geodetic Survey monuments.

 

Malmstrom AFB, MT – Performed site and construction surveys, created drawings, made cost estimates and obtained permits for the construction of a new outdoor basketball court.

 

Spangdahlem AB, Germany – Performed construction surveys for new utility systems.

 

Lackland AFB, TX – Performed horizontal and vertical control surveys in order to identify drainage problems that would be addressed under SABER contracts.

 

Howard AFB, Panama – Performed pavement surveys to identify future repair contracts.
